Bluegrass Banjo                Old Time Banjo

As former employees of an established high-end banjo maker, Jeff and Mark both have long desired to make a banjo of their own! 
In the summer of 2002, we began to jig-up for the production of banjos and the first prototype was finished in time for Winter NAMM '03 in Anaheim, CA.
Since then, the enthusiasm and interest shown in our banjo line has been exciting and motivating.

Using the Jim Stull early 30's reproduction flathead tone ring, our first bluegrass banjo "really sounded great!"  It is the marriage of this classic pre-war tone and the Huss and Dalton  'guitar-minded' workmanship ideals
that we believe will produce fine banjos.  Hence the Owens Mill model was designed.

We've also designed a 12" open-back old time banjo for our production we call The Singletree.
Both models, the Bluegrass Banjo and The Old Time Banjo will combine the classic look, feel, and tone with our commitment to quality.

The Owens Mill - Mahogany, Maple, or Walnut

The Owens Mill is our take on the classic flat heads of the the '30's.  Three different woods are available and shown below. 
Specs include:  early '30's style sand cast flat head tone ring, 3-ply maple rim, one piece cast flange,
Nickel plated pot hardware, 'Majestic" fingerboard and peghead inlays, Maple bindings, 2-way adjustable truss rod, Waverly tuners, and Kershner tailpiece.

The Singletree

Traditional dowel stick construction with a 12" rim and Frailing scoop make this a perfect companion for old-time music styles.
The attractive standard matte finish rim is available in brown or black and specs include:

12" 3-ply Maple rim, Indian Rosewood cap on bottom of rim, dowel stick, and heel cap, 17 fret fingerboard with Frailing scoop, Nickel plated grooved tension hoop,
leaf inlay on peghead, Five Star Planet tuners, 2-way adjustable truss rod.

This Singletree banjo has the Tubaphone tone ring option, as well as the optional Brown matte finished rim.
