29 May Introducing the Statesboro SC (Single-Cut) Classic
Late last year, 2019, we announced our first-ever solid body electric guitar, the Statesboro SC Classic. We’re excited to venture into this new territory for our company.
From its classic peg head, to its beautiful sunburst flame maple top and Pure PAF-type pickups, this guitar is ready to rock. Inspired by the thick, luscious tones of the late Duane Allman’s guitar rig and the sounds of Southern Rock, Huss and Dalton conspired with pickup wizard Lindy Fralin, of Richmond, Virginia, to produce an electric guitar that will evoke the sounds of the Allman Brothers Band’s renowned guitarist—and more.
Topped with Huss and Dalton’s Crossroads-style peg head, with Gotoh chrome tuners, the one-piece mahogany neck of the Statesboro SC Classic has been carefully shaped to a comfortable, beefy “C” that will feel fast and comfortable in the hand. The bound East Indian rosewood fretboard is decorated with beautiful abalone parallelogram inlays. To reduce weight and increase comfort, the mahogany body has been weight-relieved with a proprietary honeycomb design.
Standard specs include: Mahogany body w/weight relief, Mahogany neck, East Indian Rosewood fretboard, Flamed Maple top, Huss & Dalton Crossroads-style peg head, Gotoh Chrome tuners w/Ivoroid buttons, “Jones” Mother Of Pearl fretboard inlay (designed by our luthier, Dean Jones), Lindy Fralin Pure P.A.F. pickups, Vintage tobacco sunburst.
